I thought I'd put these photos onto the website because now that most of the surface buildings have been demolished, it's good to keep a record of the past site.

Exploring the drift and incline as far as the point where the mine becomes flooded. It is certainly a steep walk down and the mine is clearly starting to slowly collapse as the passage becomes blocked.

An interesting place that once worked in conjunction with Groverake. Indeed much of the equipment was shared between the two mines being part of the same company.

One of the major workings in Nenthead with several levels accessed via internal shafts and miles upon miles of tunnels to explore. Some amazing spaces are still accessible in this huge mine.
